Are you taking the tour and having a problem now?

1. What to do if the app freezes up during your tour.

Pull over to a safe stop.

Close app and restart app.

Restart the tour that you're on.

Tap on the Waypoint closest to your location.

Select Navigate to this point.

If the problem persists, please shut down phone and power it back on.

Restart the Wayfarer Journey app.

Restart the tour.

Tap on the closest waypoint and follow directions to the Waypoint.

If the problem persists, Wayfarer will refund your tour.

2. Waypoint doesn't trigger the audio during the tour.

Check volume settings.

On the map, tap on the next waypoint.

On the popup, select "Navigate Here".

If problem persists, close out of app and restart.

Restart tour and tap on the Waypoint that's closest to you.

3. Audio from the app isn't playing during the tour.

Pull over to a safe spot.

Check volume setting on both the phone and the car's entertainment system.

Check Bluetooth connection (if applicable)

Check USB cable if using

Close app and restart app

Restart the tour that you're on.

Tap on the Waypoint closest to your location

Select Navigate to this point

If problem persist, Wayfarer will refund your tour.

1. Let's get right to it - how much does a Wayfarer Tour cost?

Our Wayfarer app is free and available for download from the Apple App Store. Our tours start at $9.99 for a single driving tour. As Wayfarer continues to grow, we will be adding pricing options for travel bundles as well as subscription pricing.

2. How does this magical app thing work?

It really is magic. Enhanced by some pretty awesome technology. Wayfarer tours provide location aware audio stories and turn-by-turn navigation. The app moves at your pace, and guides your travels while delivering engaging audio narratives, which are triggered by the road around you.

3. What do you get when you purchase the tour?

You get an audio tour that downloads to your phone. To be clear, the tour doesn't just point out landmarks - it tells a story about the road around you as you travel on your journey. This is Wayfaring. The purchase also includes ancillary products that point out the tour highlights: photos/interesting information/ fun facts, recommendations for stops/shops/restaurants along the way.

4. Will the Wayfarer app work if I don't have cell service?

Absolutely. The tour will automatically download when you buy the tour. Just download the tour prior to taking it. As long as you have GPS enabled on your phone, Wayfarer can still function as your tour guide. In case you were wondering, GPS is a system that in which your phone gets a signal directly from satellites in orbit - no need for cell service.

5. Do you have to start the tour at the Starting Point?

Like all good travel adventures, checking in at the Starting Point is certainly ideal, but not necessary. You can pick up the route from an intermediary Waypoint, but if you do that, you'll miss out on some of the story and it might feel like walking into a movie theater after your film has already started. And when you're on the tour, it only works in one direction.

6. How many times can I use a tour?

You've bought it. It's yours to keep. It's your Wayfaring memento available for replay at any time. It is connected to your Apple ID - so you can listen to it on any device with the same Apple ID.

7. How long do the tours take?

Great question ... it depends. Some folks are hares. Some folks are turtles. And dependent on conditions and time of day, traffic may be a factor. Once you start the tour, Wayfarer will provide you an estimated time of completion based on your current progress and speed.
